Let's give it a try!!

Two years ago I bought a scrapbook along with all of the scrapbook paraphernalia. This scrapbook is untouched and is still sitting in my "scrapbook box" just waiting for me to add memories. I don't want to miss out on documenting all of the important events that are happening in my family so I am going to try saving all the memories via blogging and see how it goes. Hopefully, this will take up much less time than cutting and gluing.

We had such a blessed Christmas. Sydney is so fortunate to have so many people that buy for her and love her. This was the first year that Sydney did not believe in Santa! I never wanted to raise Sydney growing up in Santa because my theory was that if she believes in santa, the Easter bunny etc and finds out they are fictional, will she start to question Christ. Well Sydney came home with a letter for Santa at 4 years-old and so I went with it.
A couple of weeks before Christmas Sydney asked me if Santa is "really" real and I gave her the whole story about who St. Nick really was and that was the end of it. While I was telling her the truth Derek was glaring at me across the table as if I was about to ruin the holiday for a little 8-year-old girl but it was no big deal. The only disapointment is that I tried so many nights to sit down and watch a Christmas movie as a family only to hear "Mom, why would I watch that, Santa's not real". Oh well, maybe next year! Oh and I have to find some better hiding spots next year since Sydney knows that we are really santa now.

I will add some pics up here soon! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy 2010!
